After 3 days of exploring the island of Nias located off the coast of Sumatra, we finally boarded on a boat and took the direction of Siberut.
Once in Siberut we prepared ourselves to reach a Mentawai tribe inside the jungle.
After a few hours on a river followed by tracking through mud we managed to reach a long house and meet the tribe.
What a privilege to share a few days with them and follow them in their daily life. This tribe still live their lives in traditional ways. Of course, you can imagine that in the middle of the jungle the usual comforts, like toilets and electricity are not available. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to experience such an adventure.
